Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
PMG Research of Piedmont HealthCare
A research study is evaluating the effects of an investigational medication targeting Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) in adults with progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS) that may lead to possible symptom control. EBV can cause many medical conditions but is commonly known as the cause of mononucleosis or “mono”. Those with MS also test positive for the virus and it is thought that the presence of EBV may play a role in the development of MS.
This research study may be an option if you:
• Have a medical history or current diagnosis of progressive MS
• Have tested positive for EBV (participants may be tested before enrollment)
• Are willing and able to undergo MRIs
Other criteria apply. Please make sure to discuss with a member of our research staff to ensure this research study is a good fit for you.
Qualified participants will receive all study-related care and study medication at no cost.
