Description
A research study is evaluating an investigational medication compared to an FDA-approved medication in adults with type 2 diabetes and a history of heart attack, stroke, or peripheral arterial disease (PAD) that aims to lower the risk of a future heart attack or stroke.
This research study may be an option if you:
• Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
• Have a history of heart attack, stroke, or PAD
• Have an HbA1c between 7 - 10.5%
• Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25 or more. Find out your BMI here http://bmicalculator.cc/

Qualified participants will receive all study-related care and study medication at no cost.
