Decompensated Heart Failure – Observational Device Study

A research study is observing the correlation between measurements collected from a wearable heart monitor device and future occurrence of heart failure related events. Data including thoracic fluid index, cardiac rhythm, respiration rate, physical activity, and posture will be collected from participants for 90 days following hospital discharge due to decompensated heart failure.
This research study may be an option if you:
• Have been discharged from the hospital for treatment of acute decompensated heart failure within the last 10 days
• Have had an acute heart failure event requiring medical care within the last 6 months
Other criteria apply. Please make sure to discuss with a member of our research staff to ensure this research study is a good fit for you.
Qualified participants will receive study device at no cost. Participating in this study will not interfere with treatment by current physician.
Patient Commitment Duration
Approximately 1 year
Financial compensation may be provided for time and travel expenses.
Number of visits in study
Approximately 4 clinic visits and regular phone contacts throughout course of study
