Medical Condition
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
Facility/Clinic
PMG Research of Bristol
Age
12 or older
Gender

Description
Antibiotics are prescribed to treat common infections such as respiratory illnesses or urinary tract infections. The more we take the same antibiotic, the higher our chances are of developing a tolerance to that medication causing it to be ineffective.
A research study is evaluating a new investigational antibiotic compared to an FDA-approved antibiotic for the possible treatment of acute urinary tract infections (UTI) in females.
This research study may be an option if you:
• Are currently showing signs of a UTI (painful urination, frequency, urgency, or lower abdominal pain) for less than 3 days
• Have not been treated with antibiotics in the past week
Other criteria apply.
In addition to standard care, qualified participants will receive monitoring through our dedicated research team. Study antibiotic or FDA-approved antibiotic will also be provided at no cost.
